Kelis has baby boy & Nas pays up
Looks like Nas’ baby boy comes with a hefty price tag.
A judge has ordered the rapper to pay £24,200 ($44,000) a month in spousal support to his estranged wife Kelis – only a day after she gave birth to their first child.
The 29-year-old, ‘Milkshake’ singer who gave birth to a boy, named Knight on 22 July in New York, will receive monthly payments of £18,620 ($30,741) in spousal support and £5,470 ($9,027) to raise their son. Nas, 35, is also required to pay Kelis £27,260 ($45,000) in fees for lawyers and an accountant.
Despite the embittered divorce, the pair are both overjoyed with their new arrival. The ‘Illmatic’ star posted an online video celebrating the birth: “My son is born today, so shout-out to my son, Knight.”
New mother, Kelis took to her Twitter page: “Ok so I did it, he’s 7.8 pounds of the greatest stuff on earth.
“ I was in labor for 3 of the longest most painful days of my life. I don’t understand when women say they don’t remember giving birth. I will remember for the rest of my life. He’s kinda perfect btw :)”
Alimony, however isn’t the end of the rappers problems if the Chicago-Sun Times is anything to go by. The newspaper is claiming “another Nas galpal is pregnant with his baby.”
With such a large pay out, he better hope those rumours are just that.
Eddie Cibrian’s wife leaves him
Eddie Cibrian’s wife Brandi Gianville has finally left him following revelations of the actors continued affair with ‘Northern Lights’ co-star LeAnn Rimes.
News of the adulterous pairs tryst broke back in March after the Lifetime stars where caught on a security camera holding hands, kissing and doing a little bit of finger-sucking during a dinner date at Monsun and Club M in Laguna Beach, California.
Ofcourse the actors used the old age adage of deny, deny, deny at the time and expressed their commitment to their respective partners, however, Gianville has finally confirmed what we already knew.
Speaking to Us Weekly, the mother of two said: “Eddie and I have decided to take some time apart. I want to do what is best for our children. Eddie and LeAnn[Rimes] deserve each other.”
According to the gossip rag, the final straw came after Cibrian, 36 and Rimes, 26, were caught again together in the early afternoon of July 17 outside the Malibu home of Jeff Berger, a longtime friend of the singer and her husband, Dean Sheremet.
Sources say Berger has been facilitating meetings between LeAnn and Eddie at his home for about a month and that Rimes and Cibrian also made use of a rental house on L.A.’s west side. Berger denies he has been enabling an affair.
Ugly Betty star, Eddie, has also been linked to 24-year-old model, Scheana Marie Jancan, who has previously dated John Mayer.
What a palaver. But seriously Eddie, LeAnn Rimes…really?

Ne-Yo exits stage in tears
Ne-Yo has sparked fears for his health after exiting the stage early in a flood of tears halfway during a gig in Manchester.
The R&B star, struggled throughout a half hour performance looking on the verge of collapse according to concert-goers. The singer then left the stage, only to return and announce through tears that, although he had never had to abandon a performance before, he would not be able to carry-on.
In a blog post entitled “This Is My Life,” the 28-year-old explained the demands of shooting his World War II film, along with his non-stop touring schedule took a toll on his body.
“Basically, I have an issue with not knowing when to say enough is enough, so last night in Manchester, my body said it for me. From the first song I knew something was wrong. I [should have] stopped there.”
“I’ve never had to stop a show, never dreamed I’d ever have to. So when I had to walk out on that stage and tell 12,000 of the people responsible for making me who I am that I could not perform for them, it literally broke my heart. I cried harder than I have in a very long time with no shame whatsoever.”

Morgan Freeman not marrying his granddaughter
Morgan Freeman has denied reports that he is set to marry his 27-year-old step granddaughter.
The 72-year-old angrily hit out after the National Enquirer claimed he was romancing E’Dena Hines and planned to wed her after he divorces his second wife of 25 years, Myrna Colley-Lee.
According to the gossip rag, the ‘Shawshank Redemption’ star struck up the decade-long affair with Hines, the granddaughter of his first wife, while she was a teenager.
Hines reportedly confessed all to the star’s estranged wife, telling her of their first encounter where, “she [E’Dena] and Morgan went to dinner at a friend’s house one evening. Both had been drinking, and when they returned home, Morgan attempted to have sex with her. They stopped just short of having intercourse … E’Dena explained to Myrna that she stopped Morgan from going any further.”
The Oscar-winners publicist, Dave Falkenstein blasted the allegations as “complete garbage. The allegations are 100% made up.”
Wow, we hope these rumours are totally fabricated. I almost thought we were stepping into Woody Allen territory for a minute there. Creepy does not even begin to describe it.
Chris Brown video apology over Rihanna incident
Chris Brown has apologised publicly for the first time about the domestic altercation that took place between him and former girlfriend, Rihanna earlier this year.
In the video clip, the R&B singer speaks directly to the camera, expressing his ‘deepest regret’ following his actions which left the ‘Umbrella’ star with facial contusions back in February.
“I’ve told Rihanna countless times and I’m telling you today, I’m truly, truly sorry that I wasn’t able to handle the situation both differently and better,” Brown said.
Last month, the 20-year-old pleaded guilty to one count of felony assault. The ‘Forever’ singer will attend anger-management courses, seek therapy and perform community labor as a result of his plea deal.

Mischa Barton suffers meltdown
Mischa Barton has been placed on involuntary psychiatric hold at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after suffering a breakdown.
According to People magazine, the former O.C. star called police to her Los Angeles home in relation to a health problem. LAPD Officer April Harding confirmed: “We assisted her with a medical issue and removed her from her home.”
The actress has been reportedly sectioned under the 5150 code, reserved for individuals who present a danger to themselves or others, are gravely disabled or suffer from a mental disorder. Britney Spears was held under the same code in January 2008, following her now infamous meltdown.
Due to the hospitalization, the 23-year-old has missed the premiere of her new film ‘Homecoming’ and production for her new show, The CW’s ‘Beautiful Life’ has been postponed while the actress recovers.
“She has been on a destructive path for a while now. Her drug and alcohol use has gotten to a point where it drove people away,” a source tells the magazine.
