Leona Lewis attacked at book signing
Leona Lewis was left ‘badly shaken’ after becoming the victim of an unprovoked attack on Wednesday.
The Bleeding In Love singer was punched in the face by a fan while signing copies of her autobiography, Dreams, at a London bookstore.
According to an eyewitness, “He [the attacker] walked up there with the book, she signed it and, as she looked up, he just punched her.
“She was running out with her hand over her eye and I just saw a man on the floor. Suddenly the security all jumped on him, trying to pull him out and he was just laughing. He thought it was funny.”
Police have arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Wow…just wow…
R.Kelly admits he is illiterate
Singer/songwriter R. Kelly has revealed that despite his musical talents, he suffers from illiteracy and barely made it through high-school.
The ‘Trapped In The Closet’ star spoke of his shortcoming, during a speech he gave at the Midwest Musical Festival in Chicago, he said: “I don’t even really read and I’m not afraid to say that. My cousins and brothers used to tease me.
“The only reason I graduated from grammar school is because I had a great jump shot. I went to high school and [my teacher] told me ‘you will be one of the greatest writers of all time.’ I believed. You [have to] believe it. You can’t believe [anything] if you’re hating. You can’t achieve [anything] if you’re hating.”
It’s rather odd and ironic that one of the most ubiquitous songwriters in contemporary R&B would struggle to read a children’s book…stay in school kids.

According to the rumour-mill, Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift may be an item.
The Twilight-hunk attended not one, but two different concerts of the country singer’s concert in Chicago over the weekend.
Swift, who is co-starring with Lautner in upcoming romantic flick ‘Valentine’s Day’ set tongues wagging after giving the 17-year-old a lingering embrace following her performance of her latest single ‘Fifteen’ during a gig on Friday.

Boyzone’s Stephen Gately died of natural causes
Stephen Gately was found dead in his holiday home on the Spanish Island of Majorca on Saturday.
The Boyzone star was discovered in a crouched ‘prayer’ position against a sofa by Georgi Dochev, a Bulgarian man who accompanied the singer and his partner Andy Cowles back to their apartment to continue drinking after meeting at a local club earlier in the evening.
A post-mortem examination revealed the 33-year-old died from natural causes due to acute pulmonary oedema – a build-up of fluid on the lungs – but the underlying cause of the episode was not revealed.
It has been confirmed that Gately’s funeral will take place at St Lawrence O’Toole’s Church on Saturday, Dublin. Arrangements are being made for bandmates – Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch and Mikey Graham will fly to Majorca on Friday to bring his body home.
Boyzone manager Louis Walsh who was close to the singer said he had been left ‘completely broken’ by the singers death, he said: “The [Boyzone] boys are devastated. It’s like they have lost their very, very best friend, and me too.”

Rapper Shyne released from prison
Rapper Shyne is a free man as of today, after serving more than eight years behind bars.
Shyne, whose real name is Jamal Barrow was charged in March 2001, with attempted murder, assault and reckless endangerment for his role in a night club shooting involving Sean ‘P.Diddy’ Combs and Jennifer Lopez.
The 1999 incident saw Diddy testifying against his protégé souring relations between the two, but in a recent interview with New York radio station Hot 97, the 39-year-old mogul claims the pair are back on speaking terms, he said: “I spoke to him like a couple of weeks ago and he sounded like he was in good spirits. I know he can’t wait to get home. I know he is definitely going to heat the whole scene up. He was definitely one of talented young artists that I had the pleasure to work with. I’m quite sure he’s been using his time wisely and has some heat.”
During his incarceration, Shyne released an album, Godfather Buried Alive. He’s currently working on his third album, titled Godfather Exhumed.
Kirstie Alley blasts Roman Polanski Hollywood supporters
Who ever thought Kirstie Alley would be the voice of reason?
The actress has slammed the deluge of Hollywood stars that are supporting acclaimed film director, Roman Polanski, following his recent arrest on the 1976 charges for drugging and having unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl.
Polanski, 76, who is currently being held in Switzerland and facing extradition to America, has garnered the backing of the Hollywood elite, including Martin Scorcese, Woody Allen, Harvey Weinstein and Whoopi ‘rape-rape’ Goldberg.
Alley condemned both the ‘Rosemary’s Baby’ director and her Hollywood counterparts in a series of impassioned rants via her Twitter account:
“JUST FOR THE RECORD….RAPE IS RAPE…this is one HOLLYWOOD STAR who does not CELEBRATE or DEFEND Roman Polanski..his ART did not RAPE her.”
“THERE is NO SUCH THING AS CONSENSUAL SEX with a 13-year-old girl..it is RAPE and Polanski is a Coward. HE made 2 bad choices RAPE and FLEE.”
“Now HERE is a MOVIE.a Director who is still revered and defended after RAPING a 13-year-old girl.who still is awarded Movies highest honors.”

According to People magazine, the 35-year-old actress is engaged to fellow Spanish actor and Vicky Christina Barcelona co-star, Javier Bardem.
The couple – who first met while filming ‘Jamon, Jamon’ have kept a low profile during their two-year relationship, evading paparazzi and remaining tight-lipped about one-another in the press.
News of nuptials may come as a surprise to some. Cruz has recently spoke against the desire to get married in the August issue of Psychologies magazine, she said: “I don’t know if I believe in marriage. I believe in family, love and children.”

Katy Perry has fuelled speculation that she is dating British comedian Russell Brand after the pair were spotted walking hand-in-hand through Hampstead Heath, London on Friday.
The ‘Waking Up In Vegas’ singer is rumored to be romancing the funny-man after reportedly hooking up at the MTV Video Music Awards last month.
What followed was old-fashioned courtship with 34-year-old Brand sending Perry a love poem and asking for one in return, only to receive err… a topless photo of the ‘Hot ‘N Cold’ star with the word ‘Poem’ written across her chest.
Glad to see romance is still alive.
Keisha Buchanan kicked out of the Sugababes
It has been revealed that Keisha Buchanan, Sugababes only remaining original member, has been sacked from the group, putting to bed rumours that Amelle Berrabah had quit the band.
An official statement released on the band’s website announced the new formation: “The current line-up of the Sugababes has disbanded.
“Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah will continue as the Sugababes and will be joined by new member Jade Ewen.”
It added that 24-year-old Buchanan would continue to record for Island Records as a solo artist.
The singer, who is said to be devastated by the axe, conveyed her feelings via Twitter, she said: “Although it was not my choice to leave, it’s time to enter a new chapter in my life. I’ve had a great time and have achieved more than I ever thought I would.”
Addressing whispers of her rift with band-mate Berrabah, she continued: “Sometimes a breakdown in communication and lack of trust can result in many different things. There were no arguments, bullying or anything of that sort that would lead to this.”
Phew, with the ever-changing line-up, Sugababes are certainly giving Destiny’s Child a run for their money.
