Ke$ha’s Hollywood takeover
Ke$ha has made her mark on Hollywood – sort of.
The TiK ToK star posted a viral video on her YouTube page, showing herself and a posse of friends hijacking the infamous Hollywood sign and transforming it to read Ke$hawood.
Armed with gold spray paint, white tarps and an array of fancy dress disguises, the 22-year-old ignores a guards warnings and hops the fence to vandalise the sign.
Shortly after the prank, she twittered: “HwOOD $IgN I$ oFFiciaLLY My bIZnatCH!!!!! Good work2allmyHoTCULpritss!! LOOK AT THE SIGN LA!”
But before you reel in condemnation, the video is nothing more than a hoax, simply ascertaining the starlet has her sights set on dominating the pop world.
According to a spokesperson for the Hollywood Sign Trust, the area is heavily monitored 24 hours a day, which would make it close to impossible for the ladies to get within arm’s reach of the landmark: “First of all, when they run off — that’s a 40 foot drop there. There’s no way they could be running off in heels. it’s very dangerous up there. Secondly, the sign is made of corrugated steel. It has ridges. And you can see what they pretend to be the sign is a completely flat surface.”
If there is anything to be shocked at, it’s her atrocious use of spelling, grammar and all round sentence structure that is truly appalling.

Neil Young MusiCares Person of the Year 2010
Dave Matthews, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Stills & Nash are just a handful of artists set to pay tribute to Neil Young at the 2010 MusiCare’s Person of the Year gala, tonight at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Young is being honored for his artistic accomplishments and his philanthropic work with Farm Aid and The Bridge School benefit concerts.
The 64-year-old, musician staged the first Farm Aid concert in 1985, along with Farm Aid board members Willie Nelson and John Mellencam, to raise awareness about the loss of family farms and to raise funds to keep farm families on their land.
Farm Aid is now the longest running benefit concert series in America, celebrating its 25 anniversary this year. Norah Jones, James Taylor, Sheryl Crow and Josh Groban are among the multitude of stars performing at the event.

Elton John & Lady Gaga to collaborate at Grammy’s
Are Elton John and Lady Gaga performing together at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards this Sunday?
According to reports, the Rocket Man is set to take to the stage with the Bad Romance star at the prestigious ceremony which takes place at Los Angeles’ Staples Center on Monday.
It is not yet known what track the pair might perform, but given their flamboyant stage shows it is expected to be spectacular, a source for Contactmusic said: “Elton and Lady Gaga on the same stage is sure to create fireworks, it could be one of the most memorable Grammy performances of all time.”
The 62-year-old, singer is no stranger to show-stopping Grammy performances. In 2001, he famously joined Eminem for a version of the rapper’s hit Stan, amid controversy as the hip-hop star was widely regarded as homophobic at the time due to the lyrics of many of his tracks.
Other artists performing at the ceremony include Pink, Beyoncé Knowles, Blacked Eyed Peas and Taylor Swift.
Beyoncé heads up the list of nominations after being put forward for 10 honours, while Taylor Swift has eight, followed by Black Eyed Peas on six.
We don’t doubt Gaga will pick up a few style tips from the original ostentatious dresser.
Gerard Butler tongues street performer…
… and I don’t mean Jennifer Aniston – she’s a different kind of performer.
Gerard Butler, 40, was snapped exchanging numbers and saliva with a violinist he met only minutes earlier, while out and about in Venice, California on Sunday.
His fauxmance with Jennifer Aniston seemed to have slipped the actors mind – the pair were thought to have ignited their ‘relationship’ after they were seen reportedly canoodling at the Golden Globes.
Just shocking. It’s almost as if the The Bounty Hunter co-stars were putting it all on for the cameras.

N-Dubz Dappy apologises for death threat texts
Just hi-larious.
N-Dubz rapper, Dappy has been condemned for sending threatening messages to a young mother – just weeks after fronting a national anti-bullying campaign.
During an interview on The Chris Moyles Show, Radio One listener Chloe Moody expressed her dislike for the UK group, branding them ‘losers’ and describing the singer as a ‘vile little boy with a silly hat.’ The following day, it emerged incensed Dappy had taken down the caller’s number from the studio to gain his own text revenge.
Noticing two missed calls the next day before texting the number to find out who it was, 22-year-old, Moody was left ‘stunned’ when the response was a death threat from the singer that read: “Your gonna die, U sent a very bad msg towards N Dubz on The Chris Moyles show yesterday Morning and for that reason u will never be left alone!! If u say sorry I will leave u alone u ****.”
After bombarding the mum-of-one with calls, more texts followed with another reading: “Pick up the phone then u f****** Chicken” and “U dum f****** ****head u can call me names over the radio but when I call u direct u chicken out u punk! nana f****** niiiii, Dappy,” they came with a volley of verbal insults after she finally did pick up.
Dappy – real name Dino Contostavlos – has since apologised for his behaviour, in a statement, he said: “I called her in the heat of the moment when I was angry, but that is no excuse for my behaviour. I’m genuinely sorry. I’d also like to send my sincerest apologies to Radio 1.”
The BBC have also conveyed regret for their role in the incident, a spokeswoman said: “He must have taken the number down from the production team’s text console in the studio. We were unaware of this, but will take steps to ensure it doesn’t happen again.”
Last November, Dappy joined Schools Secretary Ed Balls to launch a Government campaign against “cyber-bullying” over mobile phones and the internet. A spokeswoman for the Beatbullying charity, said: “We in no way condone this behaviour and we stress that sending any threatening messages of any kind is completely unacceptable. Dappy’s behaviour is not becoming of an ambassador to young people. We have no further plans to work with the band.”
What a fine example this douche is to impressionable children. I’m surprised he took Chloe Moody’s comments to heart… what she said isn’t exactly something he hasn’t heard before.
Destiny’s Child Michelle Williams fires papa Knowles
This was inevitable.
Former Destiny’s Child member, Michelle Williams has dissolved her professional relationship with Matthew Knowles and his company, Music World Entertainment, after a decade under his representation.
“From my time in Destiny’s Child to my solo career, I am grateful for everything Mathew and his team has done for me. We’ve shared great success together. However, as I move in a new direction in my career, I felt it was time,” the 29-year-old said in a statement.
“I wish Mathew Knowles and the Music World Entertainment family all the best.”
According to an insider for People magazine, the singer’s departure did not come as a surprise to Mathew and his camp. “They were like, ‘Good for her.’ They knew that things were going on with him and that things [in his personal life] were going to be revealed. There’s been a build-up to this. A lot of his personal stuff was overshadowing what was being done for Michelle. She got fed up and decided it was time to move on.”
The revelation doesn’t seem so far off the mark – just last month, reports came out that Matthew’s wife of 30-years, Tina Knowles, was filing for divorce. His professional life appears to also be struggling – almost one year ago, another DC member Kelly Rowland, severed ties with MWE.
In the meantime, Michelle will return to Broadway as Roxie Hart in the Tony Award-winning hit musical Chicago.
Don’t worry papa Knowles, you’ve still got your piggy bank Beyoncé.
End of the road for Nicole Scherzinger & Lewis Hamilton
Another one bites the dust.
Lewis Hamilton and Nicole Scherzinger have called time on their relationship after two-years together.
In a joint statement, a spokesman for the pair said: “They have decided to go their separate ways. They want to focus fully on their careers and will remain close friends.”
While rumours of an impending split have been swirling for some time, a friend of the duo expressed surprise at the split to the Daily Mirror: “It’s sad because they did love each other. When you saw them trackside together they were always laughing and Nicole would give him a little peck on the cheek before the race. But they had to be realistic.
“There was no way they would continue their careers and stay together – it was too stressful. No one else is involved – their careers just got in the way.”
Both parties reportedly spent a month apart before finally calling it quits. With the 31-year-old singer residing in Los Angeles and the 25-year-old Formula One champion based in Switzerland, the long-distance is thought to have put a strain on the relationship.
It’s about time. One of the most boring couples in celebville has finally been put out its misery.
Wedding bells for Michael Buble & Luisana Lopilato
He’s off the market ladies.
Michael Bublé is due to tie the knot with girlfriend Luisana Loreley Lopilato de la Torre.
The Haven’t Met You Yet singers rep, Liz Rosenberg, confirmed the news revealing the 34-year-old popped the question two months ago: “Michael proposed to his girlfriend, Luisana, in November, in front of her family in Argentina. They’re ecstatic. They’re adorable, in love and laugh all day long.”
According to a friend of the couple, the Canadian-born star presented 22-year-old, Luisana with a diamond ring – the setting of which “he designed himself,” from Vancouver jewellers Minichiello.
The pair, who are yet to set a date for the wedding, met at a party his record company threw for the crooner following his concert in Buenos Aires in November 2008, the friend continued: “The head of the label wanted to introduce Michael to Argentina’s most famous actress. When he met her, he said it was love at first sight.”
Of their first meeting, the singer admitted not all went to plan: “I don’t speak Spanish and she had no English, but the guy [she was with] did so I just spoke to him.
“I was a bit nervous because of how beautiful she was. I later found out she was on the phone to her mother the whole time saying, ‘Bublé is gay. He’s hitting on my friend.'”
Prior to this engagement, Bublé dated The Devil Wears Prada actress Emily Blunt for more than two years before parting ways in 2008. He was also engaged to longtime girlfriend, singer and actress Debbie Timuss but split with her in November 2005.

Lady Gaga has a severe case of hat hair
Apparently, hat hair is something to embrace in 2010, if Lady Gaga is anything to go by.
Ever the eternal introvert, the 23-year-old wore her blonde locks splayed out and teased into the shape of a sunhat, as she stepped out in Sin City on Thursday.
The Bad Romance singer ensured all eyes were on her at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, where she was unveiled as Polaroid’s creative director on a specialty line of imaging products.
Expressing her excitement regarding her new position, she said: “I am so excited to extend myself behind the scenes as a designer and to, as my father puts it – finally have a real job.
“I myself am a Polaroid girl. This is not an endorsement deal. We won’t be selling cameras that have my face on them.
“I really believe in the lifestyle and injecting the things that I love into [this]. … For me, what I’m really excited about is bringing back the artistry and the nature of Polaroid.”
Well, the gal’s certainly thrifty, I’ll give her that.
