Glee picked up for a second season & YOU could be its next star

Gleeks rejoice!

The four-time Golden Globe nominated Glee has been granted early-renewal for its second season (not to be confused with the second half of the first season).

But before you start singing for joy, you may want to conserve your voice.

Executive producers of the hit musical comedy, are to launch a nationwide search for three new cast-members starting February.

Series creator and executive producer Ryan Murphy said: “Auditions will be open to amateur individuals as well as professionals between the ages of 16-26, and all hopefuls will be able to submit auditions online.

“Anybody and everybody now has a chance to be on a show about talented underdogs. No matter who you are – a Broadway talent or a struggling singing waiter with a dream in the Midwest – you now have an opportunity to make that dream come true by posting your talent video and showing us what you can do.”

You heard right folks, if you can hold a show tune and do a little jig, YOU could be on our screens come season two.

I feel a song coming on…

Seriously though, if someone should audition, it should be this guy… check out the video after the jump… (more…)
