N-Dubz Dappy apologises for death threat texts
Just hi-larious.
N-Dubz rapper, Dappy has been condemned for sending threatening messages to a young mother – just weeks after fronting a national anti-bullying campaign.
During an interview on The Chris Moyles Show, Radio One listener Chloe Moody expressed her dislike for the UK group, branding them ‘losers’ and describing the singer as a ‘vile little boy with a silly hat.’ The following day, it emerged incensed Dappy had taken down the caller’s number from the studio to gain his own text revenge.
Noticing two missed calls the next day before texting the number to find out who it was, 22-year-old, Moody was left ‘stunned’ when the response was a death threat from the singer that read: “Your gonna die, U sent a very bad msg towards N Dubz on The Chris Moyles show yesterday Morning and for that reason u will never be left alone!! If u say sorry I will leave u alone u ****.”
After bombarding the mum-of-one with calls, more texts followed with another reading: “Pick up the phone then u f****** Chicken” and “U dum f****** ****head u can call me names over the radio but when I call u direct u chicken out u punk! nana f****** niiiii, Dappy,” they came with a volley of verbal insults after she finally did pick up.
Dappy – real name Dino Contostavlos – has since apologised for his behaviour, in a statement, he said: “I called her in the heat of the moment when I was angry, but that is no excuse for my behaviour. I’m genuinely sorry. I’d also like to send my sincerest apologies to Radio 1.”
The BBC have also conveyed regret for their role in the incident, a spokeswoman said: “He must have taken the number down from the production team’s text console in the studio. We were unaware of this, but will take steps to ensure it doesn’t happen again.”
Last November, Dappy joined Schools Secretary Ed Balls to launch a Government campaign against “cyber-bullying” over mobile phones and the internet. A spokeswoman for the Beatbullying charity, said: “We in no way condone this behaviour and we stress that sending any threatening messages of any kind is completely unacceptable. Dappy’s behaviour is not becoming of an ambassador to young people. We have no further plans to work with the band.”
What a fine example this douche is to impressionable children. I’m surprised he took Chloe Moody’s comments to heart… what she said isn’t exactly something he hasn’t heard before.
Beyonce Knowles throws 40th birthday bash for Jay-Z
P.Diddy is in danger of losing his legendary party-throwing status where Beyoncé Knowles is concerned.
The 28-year-old diva spared no expense in helping husband Jay-Z celebrate his 40th birthday in style, flying 50 of the rappers closest friends from New York to the Casa de Campo resort in the Dominican Republic over the weekend.
The star-studded affair, which included Kanye West, Oprah Winfrey and Ne-Yo amongst the guests, saw the birthday boy and Alicia Keys sing an impromptu version of their hit song Empire State of Mind.
Themed around the Al Pacino gangster movie Scarface, the night was kicked off with a lavish dinner of caviar and champagne, followed by a midnight firework display with synchronised swimmers dancing alongside in the villa’s pool.
Of course, The Squealer was invited…But…err…we had to wash our hair…
Rapper Chipmunk contemplates suicide
British rapper Chipmunk has made a very public cry for help via Twitter.
The 18-year-old, who topped the singles chart last month with Oopsie Daisy, posted a series of disturbing messages on the social media website claiming he wanted to end his life.
Tweeting from his account – @ChipmunkArtist, he wrote: “I wanna die,“ he later asked, “Is suicide easy?”
The young star has since cancelled all upcoming promotional apperances “too get some much needed time off.” His spokesman added: “He has been working incredibly hard, which has taken its toll.”
Chipmunk, real name Jamal Noel Fyffe is thought to be taking time out at his family home in North London. The latest post from his account says: “This has been the most difficult time for me…But I will get through it! Believe none of what you hear…And half of what you see!”

Kevin Federline denies daddy rumours
Is Kevin Federline preparing for fatherhood again?
According to The National Enquirer, K-Fat K-Fed is expecting a child with current squeeze, Victoria Prince.
The 31-year-old, rapper already has two sons with ex-wife, Britney Spears – Sean Preston, four, and Jayden James, three.
He also fathered a daughter, seven-year-old, Kori, and a son, five-year-old, Kaleb with actress and former girlfriend, Shar Jackson.
A source told the US magazine: “The test was positive. She told Kevin that she was pregnant, but he didn’t seem happy to hear the news.”
Federline’s spokesperson has debunked the rumours, simply stating the allegations “are not true“.
This guy must super-fertile. It seems like every relationship he enters, results in pregnancy.
Rapper Shyne released from prison
Rapper Shyne is a free man as of today, after serving more than eight years behind bars.
Shyne, whose real name is Jamal Barrow was charged in March 2001, with attempted murder, assault and reckless endangerment for his role in a night club shooting involving Sean ‘P.Diddy’ Combs and Jennifer Lopez.
The 1999 incident saw Diddy testifying against his protégé souring relations between the two, but in a recent interview with New York radio station Hot 97, the 39-year-old mogul claims the pair are back on speaking terms, he said: “I spoke to him like a couple of weeks ago and he sounded like he was in good spirits. I know he can’t wait to get home. I know he is definitely going to heat the whole scene up. He was definitely one of talented young artists that I had the pleasure to work with. I’m quite sure he’s been using his time wisely and has some heat.”
During his incarceration, Shyne released an album, Godfather Buried Alive. He’s currently working on his third album, titled Godfather Exhumed.
Kanye West apologises to Taylor Swift on Jay Leno
He’s eating his words now.
Following widespread condemnation by celebrities and the general population alike for his impromptu rant at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, Kanye West has issued not one, but three apologies to Taylor Swift via his blog and now the Jay Leno show.
The 32-year-old rapper was booked on the chat-show along with Jay-Z and Rihanna to perform their current single ‘Run This Town’ but asked if he could say a few words beforehand.
On the verge of tears, West struggled to keep his composure when Jay asked what his mother, who died two years ago, would have thought about his behaviour, he said: “My hurt caused someone else’s hurt. After this, I need to take time off and work out how I’m going to deal with this for the rest of my life.”

Kanye West crashes Taylor Swift’s VMA moment
Vodpod videos no longer available.Every award show has its YouTube moment and for the Video Music Awards on Sunday, Kanye West provided himself as the spectacle.
The 32-year-old rapper stormed on stage during an acceptance speech by Taylor Swift for ‘Best Female Video’ and unleashed an astonishing rant, leaving the country starlet humiliated.
Grabbing the microphone off the 18-year-old singer, he said: “I’m sorry, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time,” referring to the former Destiny’s Child members ‘Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)’.
As West handed back the microphone, a shell-shocked and unable to continue Swift seemed close to tears.
According to sources at the VMA’s the ‘Love Lockdown’ singer was soon-after kicked out of the building, while ‘Swift was seen crying hysterically backstage’.
However, a clearly mortified Beyoncé ended up providing damage control by giving the young star a chance to finish her speech during her acceptance for ‘Best Video’.
Oh Kanye, your such a clown. In your own words…how could you be so heartless? (err Apologies for the bad pun)

Drake injured during concert stage fall
Canadian rapper Drake took a nasty fall on stage, further damaging his already-injured knee during a set for Lil Wayne’s ‘Americas Most Wanted’ Tour in Camden, New Jersey on Friday.
The rising hip-hop artist, who reportedly tore his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) while playing basketball last month, ignored doctors warning to rest-up his leg and sit the tour out to prevent such an incident.
Prior to the fall, Heartbreak Drake spoke to MTV about his decision to perform, he said: “I didn’t really get any approval from my doctor, but I made a personal decision 48 hours ago that I’d be letting a lot of people down if I didn’t show up and at least show them I’m there for them.
“For the last two weeks, I’ve been really going hard, getting all types of acupuncture, trying to bring the swelling down. I’m walking around — no cane. I’ll put a brace on it tomorrow night. No one will probably even know I’m injured…I’m not doing my own set. That’s one thing I have to apologize to my fans about. It’s too much of a risk, if I hit that wrong turn [doing] 30 minutes every night. If I tear my ACL again, the doctors say I might not be able to walk again. I have to be cautious.”
Video footage of the fall sees Drizzy ramping up the crowd with Lil Wayne in the run up to perform his hit song ‘Best I Ever Had’ before he takes a tumble. Stagehands run to his aid before escorting him off the stage and leaving an awkward Weezy to finish up the set.
Shortly after his slip, the 22-year-old tweeted: “All is well. On the bus laying down…Getting surgery this week but I’m walking. Thank you my whole YM [Young Money] family for the help. Lion Hearts!”
Good to hear Drizzy Drake is recovering well. For those of you who may remember him from his ‘Degrassi’ days playing a young, wheel-chair bound Jimmy, all I have to say is…oh the irony.

Kelis has baby boy & Nas pays up
Looks like Nas’ baby boy comes with a hefty price tag.
A judge has ordered the rapper to pay £24,200 ($44,000) a month in spousal support to his estranged wife Kelis – only a day after she gave birth to their first child.
The 29-year-old, ‘Milkshake’ singer who gave birth to a boy, named Knight on 22 July in New York, will receive monthly payments of £18,620 ($30,741) in spousal support and £5,470 ($9,027) to raise their son. Nas, 35, is also required to pay Kelis £27,260 ($45,000) in fees for lawyers and an accountant.
Despite the embittered divorce, the pair are both overjoyed with their new arrival. The ‘Illmatic’ star posted an online video celebrating the birth: “My son is born today, so shout-out to my son, Knight.”
New mother, Kelis took to her Twitter page: “Ok so I did it, he’s 7.8 pounds of the greatest stuff on earth.
“ I was in labor for 3 of the longest most painful days of my life. I don’t understand when women say they don’t remember giving birth. I will remember for the rest of my life. He’s kinda perfect btw :)”
Alimony, however isn’t the end of the rappers problems if the Chicago-Sun Times is anything to go by. The newspaper is claiming “another Nas galpal is pregnant with his baby.”
With such a large pay out, he better hope those rumours are just that.
Kanye West and Amber Rose Split-up
After weeks of speculation, Kanye West has confirmed he has split from girlfriend Amber Rose
His rep substantiated: “They are no longer a couple.”
Whispers of a break-up first surfaced in May following stories of the ex-stripper allegedly cheating on the ‘Love Lockdown’ singer with rapper Cassidy.
Rose hit back at the rumours via her Twitter account: “I do NOT know Cassity personally I met him for the first and only time at a charity softball game. THAT’S IT!”
West, who celebrated his 33rd birthday on Monday, has since been linked to ‘Umbrella’ star Rihanna.
Err…I think the fact that Ms Rose is unsure about the spelling of her undercover lover might mean she’s telling the truth…that or she never won the Spelling Bee…
